1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

• Account and profile: When you register, we collect email address and password (stored securely). We may also collect and store first name, last name, avatar, and language preferences you provide in the app.
• Usage and progress: We collect and store data necessary to provide the app's features, such as quiz results, scores, completed quizzes, ranking-related data, and progress (e.g. exam attempts). This may be stored on your device and/or on our servers.
• Device and technical data: To improve stability, we may collect crash reports and technical diagnostics (e.g. via Sentry or similar services). This can include device type, OS version, and error details.
• Microphone: The app may request microphone access (RECORD_AUDIO) for features that use audio. Audio is only used as described in the app and in accordance with the permissions you grant. We do not record or store audio for purposes beyond the stated feature (e.g. voice-based functionality if applicable).

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and profile.
• Deliver quizzes, memorization content, rankings, and tests.
• Provide chat and other social features.
• Improve app performance and fix errors (e.g. crash reporting).
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. DATA STORAGE AND THIRD PARTIES

• Your data may be stored on your device (e.g. login token, preferences) and on our servers or service providers.
• We use third-party services that may process personal data, including:
  • Sentry (or similar) for crash reporting and diagnostics.
  • Expo / EAS for app updates and build tooling.
• These providers have their own privacy policies and may process data in accordance with their terms and applicable law.

4. DATA RETENTION

We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the app, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data (see "Your rights" below).

5. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (e.g. optional features).

You have the right to delete all your data directly from your profile page in the app.

6. CHILDREN

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
